The Northern Metro Sportfishing Club was very privileged to have Marine Biologist Ben Cleveland from OzFish Unlimited, do a presentation on the Shellfish Reef Restoration programme that he is heavily involved with, at last night's meeting. The Northern Metro Sportfishing Club held its C.H. Smith Whiting Competition out from Hastings, and what a fantastic day it was. Thanks to C.H.Smith for supporting our club, and to each and every member that came along.

What a fantastic day it was for our club with perfect weather for our annual xmas break up party/bbq. Our very generous sponsors donated over $1000 worth of raffle prizes. A huge thank you to C.H Smith Marine, Hook'em Tackle, Anaconda Epping, Bunnings Epping, Lender's Choice, Clicks Jigs, and David & Cathy Carey.
Jo from Faces For Wrigglepots did an amazing job keeping the kids, and some adults entertained, with face painting and balloon work, not to mention all the great food had from our club, as well as the many members that brought a plate.
Well done to everyone involved in making it yet another successful social event for our club.
Thank you to the Victorian Fisheries Authority for stocking the lake at Yarrambat Park with 1000 rainbow trout for our social break the ice BBQ and trout day.
It was great seeing members and friends catching trout and also the kids casting clinic with prizes donated by Jarvis Walker, Thanks to everyone involved in making it yet another great social event for our club.
Our application has been accepted, and we are proud to announce that we are now affiliated with the Game Fishing Association of Australia.
